When I shifted to Gurugram / Delhi many people were scaring me. It is not like Mumbai,it is not safe and all. True that there is cultural and community difference but this city is not bad. In my opinion every city is unique, different in its own way. Like a person city also has some pro & cons.
Well planned residential colonies specially elegant, fancy, modern houses are my favourite. We can't afford those in Mumbai/ Thane. Every house is uniquely designed. Market places of Delhi-NCR are one of the plus points for urban planning. I hate shopping mall. I really don't like that concept. But i loved the concept of market place. you can get anything you want in that market.
Like Mumbai here land is no issue. And high rise towers are rare. So every morning i can see nice blue sky and every night we can glance the beauty of Moon. We love to see the चंद्रकला, (phases of moon) every night. I love it. And it is rare sight from Mumbai flats.
Parks: so many large-small green pockets in every corner!! I love these small green spaces.
When I learnt weather in school I thought I would love extreme weather conditions as winter is my favourite season and cold winter for 2-3 months would be great. But when I shifted to Delhi I understood the horrifying extreme weather and the side effects of it. I was frozen in cold, I hated summer it was too harsh and long. And I missed rains of Mumbai so bad. Here it hardly rained and 90% of the time atmosphere was hot and humid. which is worse condition.
Drainage system of Delhi -NCR is really poor, Gurugram is planned city but still underpass, even sector roads are flooded when it rains for an hour or long. How will it survive if the Mumbai Monsoon enters here? This is really important issue. The drainage system on the roads should be improved.
But anyway! everything comes with Pro & Con. I liked this city. Its wonderful.
